W O W!!! Those are gorgeous!

I do appreciate your reviews - in particular, your take on Schiit products. Recently Schiit released the Aegir 2. I am very interested in how this amp sounds but there just isn't the plethora of reviews out there as there was for the Aegir 1s. I'd love to hear your take on the new Aegir 2. The amp is a curiosity for me because of the low damping factor. Now Schiit claims that the "Halo" technology extends better control over the speaker. Perhaps I am wrong but does Halo take the place of damping? Anyways, all that aside, I'd love for you to review them ... you'd probably be doing Schiit a big favour. (and me!!!!!!)

Will the eversolo DMP-A8 pair well with a valve amp and a warmer speaker like the Wharfdale Linton heritage.

This one use akm dac, but still bright? I play menu older rock and metal and need warmth in my music and forgiven for poorer records. The a 6 is too bright, but the a 8 also? I have now a bluesound node 130 with mf m5 si amp, tannoy xt8f speakers and tellurium q blue ii cables.

Being similar in price, do you recommend this or the Topping E70 Velvet? Strictly as a dac. Thanks a lot!

How would this go with a turntable with a built in preamp? I bought this brand off Amazon for 119 au for the base model and was blown away with the sound improvements it made to my system. Would you recommend to try this model or wait for a better model for music ? Thanks in advance

It is nonsense to talk about a balanced cable (XLRs) vs a single-ended cable (RCAs) out of context. If your electronics are balanced, you must use XLR connections to reap the benefits of balanced operation. If your electronics are single-ended, there is no benefit to using XLR cables. Whether balanced operation is per se "better" than SE operation is another matter entirely.

Advise a rock and metal amplifier is no more expensive than $ 750

If I use headphones and skip tracks from a CD, it makes a noise like it is turning on and off as soon as I click the button for the next track. Did you notice that? It is kind of annoying.

the v3 mono drive my css criton 1td-x perfect. i have never the feeling that they would need more power. but i have them in a small room. they sound cleaner and as "big" as my 2 smsl a300 in btl mode (with 218 watt at 8 ohm [measured from audio science review..]).

A lot of people dissing these Fosi amps. It's easy to speculate but from personal experience I think the ZA3 is not only good for the money but can definitely compete with much more expensive established brands/models. I'd be curious to hear how the V3 monos ACTUALLY sound against the Schiit Aegir monoblocs or other integrated amps in the $2000-3000 range. There's another UA-camr who felt the ZA3 wasn't shamed against a $5000 Naim Supernait 3 in an A/B sound demo. Opinions are all over the place on these.

This dac is truly a giant killer and even it sounds better than my turntable

At all the naysayers whose bias is showing, these perform very well and sound great. Disruptive because of the price point and viral marketing and direct shipping which may be uncomfortable for traditionalists. I’ve replaced nCore amplification with a pair of these and they sound just fine. Levinsons new company Daniel Hertz is using nCore amplification in their new amps selling at mega bucks. For the modest price the V3 mono is surely a great audio bargain despite lacking the cachet of other brands.

too flat to my liking

I bought a pair of these with two 5 amp power supplies thru the kickstarter thing. I already was using pair of Aiyima A07 Max amps with two 5 amp 48v power supplies run in mono. I can tell no difference in sound quality between them. Like identical sounding. Although with the Aiyimas set at max volume, it takes less pre-amp volume to get same loudness. Have to turm up the pre-amp a little more with the Fosi. Fosi audio V3 mono's will hit ebay soon.

So you can connect both of these as left and right as stereo to a single active sub? Could you explain the cabling more specifically? I have a rel sub and am worried about shorting it out 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Would this sound better than denon PMA-600NE

I did several tests with amplifiers with TPA3255. My intention is to use my tubes in the cold months and use digital amplification in the warm months. In addition to being environmentally friendly, you also save on your electricity bill. The best I achieved with digital was using a tube preamp and very well built power supplies (this is essential). In this way, an extremely natural sound is achieved, which only loses a little to the valves. I did a blind test with some friends and most of them couldn't identify whether it was the digital amplifier or the one with tubes playing.

Vs denon pma- 600ne?

If you chase the cheap class D route you’ll end up with a closet full of them and less money in your wallet vs just spending a grand or so on a nice amp to begin with.

So you just put some RCA plugs on some cheap of the shelf cable. Why would that be better sounding than some brand name quality cables. At least brand name cables can be listened to and if not to your liking send back.

Interesting. Some good lower cost stuff coming in to the market now. Of course from China. I wonder (seriously) if the president changes in November will there be a heavy tariff on these goods.

these little amps have better noise to signal ratio on the 36v supply, you might like the sound better but with a little less power....but these are fun toy amps for a budget setup, they are no giant killers.
